Hume City FC is delighted to confirm that its Senior Women’s team has been elevated to State League North-West 4.
The three-division promotion from State League North-West 7 follows an impressive debut performance on the weekend and takes effect immediately, with the first match in the new league to take place this week.
In the club’s first senior women’s campaign in more than half a decade, the newly formed side marked its debut with a commanding 6–1 victory over Northcote City.
That result highlighted the team’s quality, with Football Victoria moving Hume City FC into a division that better reflects the squad’s standard and ensures the competitiveness of all leagues,
Hume City FC is extremely pleased with this outcome and extends its appreciation to Football Victoria for its cooperation and flexibility, as well as to the club’s supporters for their continued backing in the lead-up to the historic return of the women’s team.
The Hume City FC Senior Women’s team is scheduled to play its first match in State League North-West 4 against FC Birrarung Seniors Senior Women SL4 at Princes Park Oval on 10 May.
