The below is a public letter to the fans of Hume City from outgoing Head Coach, Nick Hegarty.

The time has come for me to say farewell.

What an incredible year and how good have our playing group been!

I’m so proud of what they delivered and the contribution every single player made.

My staff were such a big part of our journey and to watch them hurt after our season concluded was extremely tough. Thank you.

We hit and exceeded all our year objectives leaving us with some amazing memories and fantastic foundations to build on.

Unfortunately it won’t be me moving forward with the group but I’m extremely excited to be watching and supporting from afar.

Having the opportunity to represent this club and the Turkish community has always been a privilege I have never taken for granted and I have enjoyed every moment.

Thank you for all your support, encouragement and love shown to me and my family over the many years.
