Hume City FC signs international Defender Khoder Kaddour

Hume City FC is excited to announce Lebanon national team member and former Western United Full Back Khoder Kaddour as its latest signing.

The 22-year-old has had a rapid rise since joining Western United’s Youth squad and has recently represented Lebanon at the FIFA Under-23 Asia Cup.

After playing juniors for Fawkner and Whittlesea Ranges, Kaddour joined the Melbourne City FC Youth program in 2021, but it was at Western United where he really excelled.

After being part of the Western United set-up for two years, Kaddour made his A-League debut during the 2023/2024 season against Melbourne Victory. Despite making four more appearances during the season, an ACL injury ended it early and forced Kaddour out of the game for nearly a year.

Kaddour successfully returned to play a game in the 2025 Australia Cup for Western United, but the team was suspended from the 2025/2026 A-League season leading to a switch to South Melbourne for its successful Australian Cup campaign.

A skilful defender, Kaddour brings both domestic and international experience to the  Hume City FC squad.

Kaddour is eager to enjoy success at Hume City FC and believes he will thrive within the environment at the club.

“I want to win the championship at Hume City FC,” said Kaddour.

“Nick got in contact with me and passed on his plans regarding the playing style, which is suited to how I go about it, and should get the best out of me.

“I want to get back to playing consistently again. I did my ACL a couple of years ago, so I’m just trying to get back to the sharpness and level I was back then.

“I’m hoping we have a good run this year and make the playoffs as Hume City FC missed out on those last year, then go far into the Finals Series.

“For me personally, I just want to put in good performances, hopefully get a few goals and assists, which I hope helps the team succeed.

“I just want Hume City FC to go well in the FFA Cup, Dockerty Cup and the league to hopefully win some silverware.”

Hume City FC Senior Coach Nick Hegarty is ecstatic to welcome someone of the experience of Kaddour to the squad.

“Khoder has settled in really quickly and has added a lot to our squad on and off the field in a really short period of time,” said Hegarty.

“Khoder is really clean on the ball and a fantastic athlete. Given that he is really comfortable in both full back positions he is a fantastic addition to our roster.

“His ambitions and enthusiasm complements our squad, and we are really pleased he has joined us.”

Hume City FC will begin its 2026 NPL Victoria season at Nasiol Stadium against the Altona Magic on Friday, 13 February
