Four Depart

Hume City FC can confirm it has made more changes to its senior playing list with Lloyd Isgrove, Harry Ascroft, Joseph Forde, and Michael Lazaris all departing from the club.

All four players featured throughout the 2025 season and made valuable contributions to the team, with Ascroft serving as vice-captain, Isgrove and Forde regular members of the starting eleven, and Lazeris and making his senior debut in April.

Of the quartet, Ascroft made the most league appearances, having joined the club from Dandenong Thunder at the start of the 2024 season. Over two years, he represented Hume City more than 50 times and became a key figure in defence.

Isgrove also joined ahead of the 2024 season, arriving from the United Kingdom following stints with notable English clubs including Southampton, Barnsley, Swindon Town, and Bolton Wanderers. He went on to make close to 50 appearances across all competitions.

Forde, who joined from Irish side Waterford FC at the start of the season and featured 22 times across the 2025 campaign, while Lazaris made two senior appearances – debuting at just 17 years old in April during the 3-0 loss to Oakleigh.

Hume City FC Head Coach Nick Hegarty paid tribute to the four players upon their departure.

“On behalf of everyone at Hume City FC, I would like to thank Lloyd, Harry, Joseph, and Michael for their service to the club during their time here,” Hegarty said.

The quartet joins previously announced departures Michael Weier and Mark Ochieng, who both moved on at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
