Hume City FC signs young gun Frank Busasa

Hume City FC is excited to add former Adelaide United Youth player Frank Busasa to its 2026 player roster.

A versatile player able to play left or right wing, 19-year-old Busasa comes to Hume City FC following an exciting beginning to his career at the Adelaide Croatia Raiders before being recruited to the Adelaide United Youth squad.

A noted rising talent in South Australia’s National Premier Leagues, Busasa will bring his high-level athleticism and exciting play to Hume City.

Busasa is a consistent scorer, which is aided by his strong pace and passing ability to set-up goal opportunities.

“I want to make myself an established player in NPL Victoria,” Busasa said.

“I want to give the Hume City FC fans something to look forward to because I am hungry for success and I believe we can achieve it. That’s my aim and personally I want to contribute by playing good football.

“Hume City FC is a great club with a strong culture and excellent coaches matched by an awesome fanbase. I’m excited to play here as it suits my playing style and I can’t wait to get the season started.”

Hume City FC coach Nick Hegarty is thrilled to welcome Busasa to the club.

“Frank is an explosive winger to come out of Adelaide United,” said Hegarty.

“He’s an exciting player to watch, and coming out of the Adelaide United’s system gives him a good understanding of the tactical side of the game and the ability to apply them into his game.

“It will take some time for Frank to settle in to understand how we play, but has all the attributes that you need to be successful in NPL Victoria.

“We’re excited to get him over and will be one to watch next season.”

Hume City FC will begin its 2026 NPL Victoria season at Nasiol Stadium against the Altona Magic on Friday, 13 February.
