Hume City are excited to announce the signing of Gold Coast City winger Benjamin Lyvidikos. Benji had previously spent 3 years in the former A-League champions Brisbane Roar, in their youth setups with 3 seasons playing in the National Youth League and also the Queensland NPL before moving to Gold Coast City and playing a staring role on the right wing including scoring four goals last campaign. Benji was selected in the under 23 select eleven as well as winning the coaches award for the 2016 season.
Benji’s team had a good year and reached the quarter finals in the cup where they came up against South Melbourne and unfortunately fell short of progressing further. Benji is hopeful of earning a recall to the young Socceroos to further add to his 2 caps. Benji was selected to head to New Zealand by Paul Okon to take part in the New Zealand Five Nation Series. Benjamin has a passion for the sport and use’s his spare time to help out the Brisbane paralytic football training sessions. Benji will take the number 7 shirt for the next season, we cant wait to see Benjamin use his explosive speed on the right wing, welcome to the club!
