John Cofie Joins Hume City

Hume City are pleased to announce the signing of John Cofie following his decision to leave Irish Premier League Club Derry City earlier this month.

Englishman John has enjoyed a fantastic footballing education at teams including Sheffield Utd, Royal Antwerp and Manchester Utd and joins Hume hoping to hit the ground running given the chance to express himself by head coach Nick Hegarty.

“We will give John a tremendous platform to showcase his talents. We are very excited to bring John in and we believe he will flourish within our system and club culture.”

“We have been searching for a top quality striker since i joined the club in 2012 and i truly believe we have found one now.” Said Hegarty.

As a former FA youth cup winner and team mate of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Will Keane, Johns experience and pedigree will be a huge boost for everyone at the club and we look forward to his arrival over the weekend.

Hume City would also like to confirm the arrivals of James Brown, Aryn Williams, Thomas Barforosh, James Kapuranovski, Will Hendon and Harry Monaghan.

We would also like to confirm the departures of Zachary Sukunda, Mele Temguia, Andrew Pawiak, Joseph Konyit, Gian Tapia. We would like to place it on record our thanks to the departing players for their fantastic attitudes and effort throughout the season and look forward to watching their footballing journey’s.
