REPORT: Comprehensive City down Bentleigh

Hume City’s under 20 side continued its stellar form with a comprehensive 3-0 over Bentleigh Greens on Friday night.

Hume City took the ascendancy from the outset and were rewarded for hard work in the 41st min when Gabriel Beck-Godoy followed up a fierce strike by Adem Or to put Hume City up 1-0 up before half time.

Hume City doubled its lead in the 48th min with a solo run and finish from Moheb Khamisi.

Hus Saglam’s side continued its dominance and made it 3-0 in the 68th minute after through ball from Matthew Bozinovski was cooly finished by captain Adem Or.

Hume were unlucky not to find more goals, coming close on numerous occasions, in particular Suleyman Topals whose piercing run and shot that was saved by the keeper and Moey Abbas who saw a late strike denied by the woodwork.

Coach Hus Saglam felt it was the teams’ strongest performance of the season

“Tonight we played well and the boys were rewarded for their efforts with a comprehensive 3-0 win,” Saglam said.

“Our defence has kept 4 clean sheets in a row now and we looked dangerous every time we went forward. It was an impressive all round team performance from our young squad.”

Next up for Hume City is Kingston City FC at ABD Stadium on Saturday, kick off 3:30pm.
