REPORT: U18’s continue to excel

Hume City’s under 18 side continued to impress registering a strong 6-1 win over Avondale FC on Sunday.

Moheb Khamisi opened the scoring for Hume City in the 10th minute when he turned home a Miguel Caceres cross.

Ethan Flint doubled Hume’s lead in the 21st minute when he scored direct from a free kick.

Flint would then go on to score two more goals and secure a hat trick when he scored from the spot in 37th minute and in the 63rd minute when he got on the end of a Deran Kuyucuogullari assist.

Moheb Khamisi would add another goal in the 35th minute when he scored with a header.

Caceres rounded off the scoring for Hume in the 73rd minute when he picked up on a Osman Duymaz assist to close out an impressive 6-1 win for Hume City.

Speaking after the game, coach Brendan Boylan said he was impressed with the way his side stood up to the test of an in form Avondale side.

 “Avondale away game was expected to be a big test for the boys,” Boylan said.

“I am proud to say that the players stood up to the test well.

“The performance was at a high level and the boys achieved the result that they deserve. Another win and now we move on to Round 10.

“Looking to continue our good performances.”

Next up for Hume City are St Albans at ABD Stadium on Sunday, kick off 1:30PM.
