U18 winning streak continues

Hume City’s under 18 side continued its good form with a 3-1 victory over Moreland City on Sunday.

With kick off delayed 50 minutes due to the oppressive heat, Hume City came out of the blocks the faster of the two sides.

Will Hayes put the away side in the lead in the 33rd minute which was followed by a second from Moheb Khamisi when he turned home Jackson Shaw’s corner kick.

Shaw would get a goal of his won in the 65th minute when he converted an Ethan Flint assist to extend Hume’s lead to three goals.

The home side would pull a goal back in the 68th minute however that would be the end of the scoring with the three goals scored seeing Hume City claim another valuable three points.

Although victorious on the day other results saw Hume fall to 3rd on the ladder with the top five teams only separated by goal difference.

Next up the U18’s is a home tie with Brunswick City at ABD Stadium on Sunday 26th March, kick off at 1:30pm.
