Hume City will look to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Melbourne Knights when it hosts Pascoe Vale at ABD Stadium on Saturday night.
WHAT’S AT STAKE:
With both sides sitting in the bottom half of the NPL ladder, Saturday night’s clash looms as a must win for both clubs. Hume City have suffered consecutive losses for the first time this season, however in both games the Lou Acevski coached side were more than competitive. Pascoe Vale has only registered two wins for the season, and will be seeking to claim its third after conceding a two goal lead against Richmond SC last week in 2-2 draw.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT:
After being knocked out of the 2015 NPL Finals series last year by South Melbourne, Pascoe Vale looked to bolster it’s squad in the off-season. Aaron Cohen joined the CB Smith Reserve based club from Box Hill, whilst Yusei Kitade joined from Senshu University in Japan with Luke Prelevic also signing on after recently featuring for Melbourne City’s NPL 2 side.
LOOK OUT FOR:
It was a case of missed opportunities for Hume City last week, despite retaining plenty of possession against Melbourne Knights it struggled to create clear cut chances. Saturday night’s clash with Pascoe Vale looms as the perfect opportunity for City to put its 2016 campaign back on track.
