In the 54th minute Nick Hegarty nearly grabbed the opener, his curling stike being denied by Scott.
Two minutes later Markelis went close again, his shot also thwarted by Scott.
Greens appeared to have found the opening goal of the game moments later when Wayne Wallace found the back of the net, however the goal was ruled out when he was adjudged t0 have been offside.
Hume continued to press for the opening goal of the game, however it would ultimately finish scoreless, with City now sitting third on the NPL ladder.
