Hume City sign Jordan Lampard

Hume City is proud to announce the signing of 18 year old-defender Jordan Lampard.

Lampard, most recently of Brisbane Roar’s Youth side, has a reputation as an attacking, overlapping left back.

Lampard also has experience in the international arena, representing Australia at under-20 level.

Speaking after a promising first outing for the club in a 2-0 pre season friendly loss to Pascoe Vale, Lampard said the success enjoyed by the club in 2015 made the decision to sign on for Hume City an easy one.

“Firstly the FFA Cup, that was a massive boost for the club and in the league also.” Lampard told HumeCityFC.com.

“Someone contacted me from the club and said Lou (Acevski) was keen for a left back, I couldn’t say no.”

With the season set to get underway in less than a month, Lampard has set his sights on establishing himself as a regular in the Hume City starting XI

“Regular first team football, that will be the goal,” Lampard said.

Hume City coach Lou Acevski said he believes Lampard’s ability to get forward and create scoring options will help Hume City in its tilt for NPL silverware in 2016.

“He is an exciting, young, left footed full back who likes to get forward and create an extra attacking option,” Acevski said.

“That’s what we like, that is the way we like to play so we believe he will definitely be an asset to us.”
