Nick Makes State Team

Hume City Football Club are pleased to announce Under 12 Starlet Nick Giarrizzo has been selected in the Team Vic Schools State Squad.

Over the past 2 years Nick has developed his skills in Hume City’s NPL program. He was an inaugural member of last years Under 12 NPL team coached by Dincer Elibol. This season has seen last years efforts pay off, with impressive performances for a his Under 12 side who are pushing for top spot after defeating Pascoe Vale, The current league leaders 1-0 on Sunday.

After trialing over recent weeks, Nick was selected as one of the best 14 players in Victoria and will represent the Victorian Schools Squad.

The squad will travel to Adelaide in November to take part in the Pacific Games. A National championship with will also include a few international teams who will fly in for the competition.

As a club we are thrilled to see Nick’s development over the past 2 years and we will strive to maintain his continual growth over the coming years.

Nick is one of many exciting prospects we have coming through our Junior system. Technical Director, Dean Hennessey has identified numerous players throughout each age group, and is implementing coaching and player structures to make sure the talent at Hume City is given everything they need to succeed in the game.

“We not aiming to develop players who will go no further than our Senior Squad. Our aim is to produce Australian Internationals, Elite players who will inspire are future junior players whilst playing professional football at the top clubs in both Australia and the world”
